A SPACE FOR THE SENSE:
Translating a psychotherapy-led approach into a high-end hair studio in the heart of Wilmslow.
The vision
JOSE exists because the traditional salon model is broken. After two decades in the industry, Jessica Oakley recognized that high-pressure environments fail both the artist and the guest. Her goal was to develop a sanctuary in Wilmslow that functions differently. Drawing on her background in psychotherapy, Jess envisioned a one-to-one studio where silence is respected and hair is treated with architectural precision. The project was about translating this quiet, focused energy into a brand that speaks to women who are tired of the noise.

The feel
We steered away from the typical "beauty" aesthetic to find something deeper. The visuals prioritise soft light, raw textures, and a muted, earthy palette that reflects the physical studio in Grove Arcade. We traded standard marketing talk for a vocabulary of "intent" and "ritual." The website isn’t a sales pitch; it’s a calm introduction to a different pace of care. Every element serves to lower the guest's heart rate before they even arrive for their session.

The outcome
By highlighting the connection between environment and well-being, we formed an identity that attracts guests who value depth over speed. The result is a seamless experience that begins with an intuitive online journey and ends in the stylist’s chair. It isn't just a salon brand; it is a clear signal to those seeking a private, meaningful alternative to the mainstream.
